Meeteaing Review | Electronic city | Bangalore
Pancakes with chocolate spread and maple syrup +Meeteaing

Conventionally, it was known to most of us that there are coffee parlours, ice cream parlours and of course kebab joints and what not! But it is quite recent that tea joints/parlours came into the picture (except for the roadside ones of course :P).

Tea is one of the oldest and the most traditional household beverage which was forgotten until the advent of establishments solely dedicated to varieties of tea.
We found a place which is dedicated to serving tea quite a while back, but it was recently that we finally crashed in to try some great variety of tea. The name of the establishment is Meeteaing, and it is located in Neeladri nagar, Electronic city Phase 1.

It has a very decent decor with a tea bar on the ground level and on the first floor, the lounge with beautiful lamp shades and romantic lighting on the ceiling.

We decided to keep this visit short and after searching on the menu card for some time, came up with our order: pancake with chocolate spread and maple syrup along with “adrak and pudeene ki chai” (ginger tea with mint). All the items on the menu were so tempting and especially the breakfast meals were of so many varieties. As we went in the evening we did not want a breakfast meal, although the breakfast meals were available all the time.

The tea was so refreshing, a very good balance of the ginger and the mint so that you can savour the taste of both. The quantity of the tea was good as well. The best thing about them was the aroma and the freshness.

The pancake on the other hand, was not value for money especially because it was a small pancake, cut up into four pieces. The chocolate spread was hard to notice, but the maple syrup was undoubtedly the savior for this dish. The pancake had a good taste otherwise, slightly crunchy inside, and smooth on the outside. Overall the experience was decent, the presentation being very good indeed.

Now it’s time to score:

Taste: - 4.5/5
Quantity: - 3/5
Ambiance: - 4.5/5
Service: - 3.5/5 (the staff seemed quite indifferent to guests and seemed reluctant)

Leaving the scoring aside, it is a good place to visit no doubt. Just remember that a lot can happen over tea as well ;).

Hope this review helps a fellow tea lover! Till next time, bon appétit!
